Lizzie Bits, 6x6 oil on canvas I wanted to share my story about this painting. While not my very best work, the reaction it brought was worth a thousand words and something I will never forget.
It is a painting of my little cousin, Lizzie, who was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 2. Yes, CANCER at 2 years old! At the ripe old age of 4 she had a recurrence and underwent more chemo and other surgeries and therapies. Lizzie is now 6 years old and healthy as can be!
The huge smile on her adorable face when I gave her the painting made my heart skip a beat. I love this brave little peanut to bits and so happy I could bring so much joy with something so simple as a painting.
